Ignition Modules

IGNITECH IGNITION MODULES FOR ROTAX 912 SERIES ENGINES

Andy bought an aircraft with these fitted and was so happy with how they performed that he now imports them!  We have now supplied over 500 units to UK aircraft.

Ignitech ignition modules offer real advantages over the original SMD modules:
- they come with long leads so can be mounted away from the engine and away from heat and vibration
- they use the aircraft 12V supply at start up to boost the spark
- they have interchangeable connecting wires so can be used with different configurations of rotax wiring plugs
- BEST OF ALL - THEY COST JUST £400 / PAIR!

We supply them with fitting instructions and a wiring diagram and we are here to help if required.

We can now supply beautifully made alloy mounts which are manufactured for us by Colin Graham - please see the photos below.  Colin Is also supplying us closure plates in alloy or stainless steel to cover any holes you may need to make through the firewall.

Many of these modules are operating in Europe and we have been flying with them since 2019.  Our aircraft was first cleared by the BMAA to operate with one Ignitech and one Rotax SMD and then with two Ignitech modules.  Other BMAA aircraft can use our work to get approval - please see BMAA TIL064.

Approvals are also in place on LAA aircraft where they can be fitted as a Standard Modificaton.

Types they are being fitted to include - Skyranger / Quantum / Blade / Eurostar / Europa / Quik / GT450 / C42 / CH601.

The photos below show a new single module and a module on a GT450 trike with the wires drooping to help avoid any water entering the units.  There are then a couple of photos of the superb alloy mounts made for us by Colin Graham. There is a side-by-side mount and a piggyback one.  There is then a photo of single layer alloy closure plates for covering firewall holes. (Note - we now supply twin layer closure plates).  The last photo is a simple DIY mount made from alloy strip.

We now have a CNC machined alloy mount for Pegasus trikes that holds the modules on the RHS of the keel tube.

Prices are:

Two Ignitech ignition modules with wiring and supporting paperwork.  £400..

Firewall closure plate - twin layer alloy or stainless plates with High Temperature grommets £12 (Earlier single wall type shown in photo)

Alloy mounts for 2 x Ignitech modules - 3 axis type; side-by-side or piggy-back. £30
     - To mount to RHS of Pegasus trike base tube.  £30
